Have you ever wanted to share an MP3 file with all your friends via Facebook?
Well, I have just discovered an incredibly easy way to do that!
The following steps do require you to sign up for a service (KEEP READING!), but that service is one that I highly recommend, and have been using constantly for the past 2 years. The service (Dropbox) will be used to host your MP3 files, since Facebook won't let you upload a .mp3 file. They have never sent me junk mail, and have GREAT customer service. They allow you to host and share any kind of file, as long as it conforms to their terms. Again, I highly recommend it for many reasons.
How to set up your Dropbox account:

Use this link to create your account.

Make sure to agree to the Dropbox Terms.
Download the Dropbox desktop application. (For uploading files over 30MB.) You can skip this step by typing "Dropbox.com" into your address bar.
This is what your Dropbox home page will look like. Click on the Public Folder, as seen in the image.
Click on "Create new folder", as seen in the image.
Name it what ever you want. "Facebook MP3s" is a good one.
Enter the folder you just created by clicking on it, then click on "Upload" to upload your MP3 file for sharing on Facebook.
Click "Choose files".
Navigate to your file, and then select "Open".
Wait for the file to upload. Larger files take longer to upload. (You will not be able to upload files over 30MB without the desktop application. Instructions for uploading with the desktop application can be found at the end of this tutorial.)
Click inside the box (seen in the image) to select the file. (Basically just click anywhere but on text.)
Click on "Copy Public Link".
Click on "Copy to clipboard".
Paste the link you just copied (Ctrl+V) into the "Update Status" box on your Facebook page.
Wait for the preview to load, and then erase the link.
Click on the text near "Artist", and "Album" to change their content.
Make sure to erase the link you just pasted into the text box. (The link preview will not go away, but the link won't be cluttering up your post.)

Uploading files via the Dropbox Desktop Application:
1. Download the Dropbox Desktop Application.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the application.
3. Navigate to the folder you wish to upload to inside the Dropbox folder. (Explained in the onscreen instructions.)
Note: You must upload the file to the Public folder (already in your Dropbox folder), or a folder subsidiary to the Public folder, in order for the Facebook sharing to work.
Note: You can create and delete files/folders inside the Dropbox and subsidiary folders, just like you can on your computer. If you create a new folder, that folder will also be synced to, and will appear in, the online user interface.

4. Drag the file you wish to upload to Facebook, into that folder.
5. You will be notified when the file is finished uploading, via the notification section of your Operating System.
7. Right click on an uploaded file. Right Click> Dropbox> Copy Public Link.
Continue with above (illustrated) instructions to see how to post to Facebook.
I know all these instructions sound long, and complicated, but most of it is one time only stuff, that once done, will stay done. Once you get used to uploading stuff to Dropbox, all this will go like a breeze. Good luck! And I'd love to see some of your comments below.
